Farewell Hilary Fisher

My name is Gavin Balharrie,

I am the President of Expression Australia.

On behalf of the Board of Expression Australia I would like to announce that Hilary Fisher has resigned from the Board after 8 years. Hilary was a dedicated, hard-working director with a strong work ethic and profound commitment to the Deaf and hard of hearing community. Hilary was dedicated to the interests and rights of the Deaf community and brought with her great insight, vision, and strategic direction to our organisation and to the Deaf and HoH community.

Hilary did a magnificent job in her time as president of the board from 2017-2019. She led the board and our organisation with great vision and purpose.

Throughout her presidency, Hilary led the board through many changes including service transformation and Vicdeaf's rebrand to Expression Australia.

Hilary has a great sense of passion, commitment, and integrity and is a wonderful role model for many emerging Deaf leaders. Her departure will leave the board with big shoes to fill.

Thank you for your leadership. Thank you, Hilary, for your tireless and dedicated work for our organisation over many years.

On behalf of the board, the organisation, and the Deaf community I would like to thank you for your tireless work and wish you all the best. We know that you will remain a big part of our future.

THANK YOU, Hilary!

Thank you for watching.
